Evident manifestation of the error started, which is commencement of an “acute” crisis stage featuring fast aggregate demand downfall in the USA (ergo, in the whole world), American and global GDP, with respective downfall of production, rapid growth of unemployment rate and all other accompanying amenities. But what was the reason of it?

Poland is located in the very center of Europe, on the crossing of ways from West to East and from North to South. Poland is a country with old traditions and turbulent history, a real treasury of cultural sites.

Recreation in Poland is varied in form. Nature enthusiasts have the Baltic sea beaches and unforgettable tours of sand dunes; water sports fans can rest at the Masurian Lakes in the midst of picturesque nature; for recreationists, the Polish Tatras with their salubrious mountain air is definitely a must-see.

However, Poland is not only various nature conditions for recreation. First of all, it is a country with old traditions and turbulent history, a real treasury of cultural sites.

Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is situated on the Vistula banks in the central part of the country. It is the biggest city of Poland. The city was completely destroyed during WW2. The Warsaw multicolored stone buildings surrounded by walls, the Roman Catholic churches, and the glorious King’s Palace are all the result of reconstruction held in the post-war years.

The Vistula river divides contemporary Warsaw into two different parts, the Old Town (Stare Miasto), where the modern city center and most sights may be found, and the eastern river bank encompassing the residential suburbs and the business district of not much interest.

The Warsaw Old Town enrolled in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list is an original ‘visiting card’ of Poland.

Zelazowa Wola, Frederic Chopin’s birthplace, is 60 km west of Warsaw. It is a nice mansion surrounded by a park with a vast collection of trees and bushes brought from different parts of Poland, and nowadays the composer’s house museum.

Torun was Nicolas Copernicus hometown and a major medieval Hanseatic town, a residence of Red Cross knights. One of the largest Polish Gothic development complexes is preserved here.

Krakow is Poland’s former capital and one of the most beautiful European cities. Several hundred valuable landmarks are preserved within the Old Town situated in the Planty park circle, and the Krakow Old Town (Stare Miasto) itself (with Wawel, Stradom and Kazimierz districts) is included in the UNESCO list of 12 most valuable world cultural heritage landmarks.

Gdynia is one of the biggest Baltic sea ports. As the town is relatively new, there are almost no relics of the past there; however, the city has a number of museums, like the Navy Museum, the Oceanographic Museum with a marine aquarium, the City Museum, the Sea Museum with a section at the ORP Blyskawica destroyer of WW2, and a real sailing-ship also turned into a museum.

Wroclaw, one of the oldest Polish towns, is situated on the Odra river banks. It is a big industrial, trade, scientific, cultural and tourist center of the south-western part of the country.
